St. Monica School, in complete accordance with the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s policy on admission, respects the dignity of every child and the child’s right to an education. Therefore, neither race, color, national origin, ethnicity, gender, or disability will prevent a child from being accepted into St. Monica School. Children of other religions may be accepted unless attendance would cause conflict for the child because of the unique religious philosophy of the Catholic School.
St. Monica School strives to meet the learning and emotional needs of students. On occasion a student may require a level of support that is beyond what is offered at St. Monica. In these circumstances, the Principal/Assistant Principal, Academic Support Team, and Parochial Administrator will determine admittance.
-
All new students admitted to St. Monica School will be placed on probationary status for one full school year, from the time of admittance. The school has the authority to determine continued enrollment based upon the student’s progress and needs. The school administration and the classroom teacher(s) will discuss the student’s progress each trimester during the probationary period. At any time thereafter, the school administration (principal/assistant principal/parochial administor) may determine, in its sole discretion, to place a student on an indefinite period of review based on the demonstrated academic or behavioral needs of such student. The School Administration shall notify, in writing, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of any student placed on review of such a decision. During any period of review, the school administration shall determine whether or not St. Monica School can meet the needs of the student. If the school administration determines, in its sole discretion, that St. Monica School is not able to meet the needs of a student who is on review, then the school administration will inform the parent(s) or guardian(s) of such student that he/she will be unable to attend St. Monica School following the end of the then current school trimester or any subsequent period. The decision of the school administration shall be final.
