This quote from Jean Harris, a favorite of 8th grade teacher Dr. Anne Rice, speaks to her teaching style as Dr. Rice always looks at both the heart and the mind of the people she meets. All of her students are very fortunate that she decided to become a teacher, inspired by her dad, who has been an educator for 58 years! However, if not inspired to teach, she would own an art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, because "the energy there is so centering." She has always loved art and likes to go to art museums on vacation. She holds a doctorate in eductaion from Cardinal Stritch University and her favorite subject to teach is literature because "the possibilities are endless."  School doesn't last all day, however, so she loves spending her free time with her family and three Bichon Frises, Dolly Levi, Oliver Mitchell and Lili Marlene, traveling, shooting black and white photography and reading her favorite books -- "the perfect balance of hard work and good fun."

"Look farther than your eyes can see - we all need one another." Jean Harris
